    Free skin cancer screenings will be provided by local dermatologist. This event is scheduled for May 6, 2017 from 8am to Noon and the KU School of Medicine has been gracious over the past several years to donate the use of their facility at 1010 N Kansas.   The Wichita dermatologist goal is to bring awareness about sun protection to help prevent skin cancer.  This year we have several providers donating their time and want to get the word out about the event to the community.

  • The Greater Wichita YMCA Invites Families to YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day®, April 29 at Camp Hyde,  Wichita, Ks– 
    On Saturday, April 29, from 1pm to 5pm, the Greater Wichita YMCA is holding a free community event to inspire parents and kids to stay physically and intellectually active all summer long.
    The Greater Wichita YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day is the Y’s national initiative to improve health and well-being of kids and families, and features activities such as cooking demonstrations, nature hikes, canoeing, and family games to motivate and teach families how to develop healthy routines at home.
